A Carthage man was injured in an accident 5:35 p.m. Tuesday on E. 50th Street, one half mile east of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1997 Honda VT1100 driven by Dale W. Johnson, 36, failed to negotiate a curve and struck a concrete traffic island.
Johnson was taken to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, with serious injuries.
