Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 11:25 a.m. Wednesday on MO 96 one mile east of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2003 Buick LeSabre driven by Debra K. Lester, 27, Carthage, was stopped in traffic when it was hit from behind by a 2007 Freightliner Columbia driven by Harold L. Boston, 45, Phillipsburg.
Lester and a passenger in her car, Beverly J. Maggard, 51, Webb City, were taken to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, with minor injuries.
