Switched to Roundabout Configuration

MoDOT Traffic Alert: Where: Route 171/Route 43 intersection at Airport Drive (near Joplin) When: 6:30 p.m., Monday, July 14, 2014 What: Intersection will CLOSE briefly tonight to allow crews to convert to roundabout.  Starting tonight, only one lane of the roundabout will be open.  However, crews will work to open the roundabout to two lanes by the end of the week. During the closing, drivers are urged to find alternate routes around the area. Traffic Impacts: On Monday night, the Route 171/Route 43 intersection will be CLOSED briefly at 6:30 p.m. Crews will work ‘round the clock Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to find alternate routes if possible Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
