Fayetteville man charged with DWI, assault after accident near Seneca

A Fayetteville, Arkansas man was charged with driving while intoxicated and felony vehicular assault following a one-vehicle accident at 12 a.m. today on Highway B, seven miles south of Seneca.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1998 Toyota Camry driven by John P. Warren, 50, went off the roadway and struck several trees and a fence.

Warren and a passenger, Scott P. Kyser, 48, Washington, Arkansas, were taken to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, with moderate injuries.

Warren was also cited for no driver's license and careless and imprudent driving.
