A Jasper man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a one-car accident 9:10 p.m. Friday on County Road 138 five miles north of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2003 Ford Focus driven by Clayton N. Gerard, 30, Jasper, failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the roadway, struck several rocks, and overturned.
Gerard was treated at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, for minor injuries.
