Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident 7:01 p.m. Saturday on Index Road east of Old 66 three miles west of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle driven by James M. Horine, 38, Carthage, failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the road ejecting Horine and a passenger, Kristin L. Pugh, 33, Lamar.
Horine suffered moderate injuries and Pugh serious injuries. Both were taken to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
