Neosho man charged with DWI following injury accident

A Neosho man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 4 a.m. today on U. S. 60, two miles west of Granby.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo driven by Sack Xymon, 24, Neosho, failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole, ejecting Xymon.

Xymon was treated for serious injuries, first at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, then Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

In addition to DWI, Xymon was charged with having no insurance, no driver's license, careless and imprudent driving, and for not wearing a seat belt.
