Water main break causes closure on 5th between Main and Joplin

A road closure on 5th Street between Main and Joplin Street has occurred.

The closure is for due to a water main break. Missouri American Water is presently working on making the repairs and hope to have the street opened by Friday at noon.

The road will be completely closed.

Detour routes will be in place. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution in these areas and are urged to utilize alternate routes during this period
