The Webb City & Carl Junction Rotary clubs will host a September 11th Memorial Ceremony at Crowder College-Webb City, Sunday, September 11, at 1 p.m. The campus is located at 600 S. Ellis, Webb City.
Featured speaker will be Master Chief Corpsman Ronald Mosbaugh. Mr. Mosbaugh is a 31 year retired Navy Reservist. In 1966-1967, he was attached to Second Battalion First Marines Division Hotel Company in Vietnam as a Field Corpsman who treated over 200 Marines and was wounded twice. He received the Silver Star, Bronze Star with a combat “V”, and two Purple Hearts. He also served in Awali, Bahrain during Desert Storm/Shield in 1991. He just released his book, “Marine Down, Corpsman Up” which will be available at the event.
Mosbaugh was the Jasper County Coroner for seven years and the Jasper County Clerk for four years. He is also a graduate from Central Missouri State University.
After the ceremony, Webb City and Carl Junction Rotary Clubs will host a BBQ for all area first responders at the Webb City Fire Department.
