We are currently working a home repair fraud that happened in the City.
If you have elderly relatives or friends, please warn them that they are at risk of these criminals targeting them. Please warn them that legitimate contractors do not go door to door soliciting work.
These people target single elderly residents, usually going to the door with a story of working in the area and while they drove by they noticed critical things that need fixed.
Roofs and chimneys are usually what they will say are in need of repair. Price is usually not discussed and after they do "work" they will demand ridiculously high prices and if any work was done, it will be useless.
We cannot check on everyone, so we ask for your help in watching for these criminals
