Crowder Community Choir schedules Christmas concert

The Crowder College Community Choir will perform its Christmas Concert Sunday, December 11, 6pm, at the Civic Center in Neosho.

The Community Choir is made up of students and community members under the direction of Becky Shaw, Choral Music Instructor.

The program is a selection of diverse songs of Christmas and winter. Some are humorous, some sentimental, and some speak of the birth of the Christ child. “Our hope is that there is something here that will touch some part of every person attending,” stated Shaw.

Shaw is accompanied by Coleen Pettit. Members of the choir this year are:

Judy Akeman, Colleen Carroll, Julie Doubek, Aleta Evans, LeeAnn Findley, Dr. Kent Findley, Brad Gibson, Karen Griffiths, Rosie Griffiths, Shelly Langland, Karen Martin, Lynn Otey, Joanna Persons, Judy Powell, Jeryn Preston, Mark Preston, David Powell, Jerry Richmond, Dr. Herb Schade, Julie Schofield, Brian Shaw, Bernadine Sprenkle, Larry Swift, Emily Waldrop, Bob Walker and Betsy Wheeler; and student participants: Colton Engelhardt and Aleesha Jackson.

The event is free and open to the public. Dessert will be served after the performance.
