On December 14th, 2016 the Joplin Police Department assisted the U.S. Marshalls' office with serving an arrest warrant at 433 N. Wall Avenue.
The Marshalls were attempting to arrest Davon A Granger (22) of Joplin on a homicide warrant out of Ohio. The Ohio warrant was issued in June of 2015 following a May 2015 homicide.
At about 5:45p.m Joplin S.W.A.T along with assistance from Joplin Fire and METS Ambulance responded to the scene. Granger was taken into custody at 9:22 p.m after being located under the house and apprehended by police K9.

Granger is currently in the Joplin City Jail.
