(From Wildcat Glades)
Wildcat Glades Conservation & Audubon Center in partnership with Mercy would like to invite the general public to Walk With A Doc on National Walking Day, April 5, 2017 at 5:30 pm to walk the Mercy Shoal Creek Trail in Wildcat Park.
Celebrate National Walking Day as the Dogwood Trailblazers walking club leads a walk on the Mercy Shoal Creek Trail along with doctors from Mercy. The featured Mercy Doct is Dr. Hilton McDonald, DO. Learn how walking can improve your physical and mental well-being no matter your age, and how you can get involved with the walking club.
Trails are considered easy and are a combination of asphalt and gravel surfaces. We’ll start at the Center and end up at Redings Mill Bridge before walking back. The walk will be approximately two miles roundtrip. Please wear appropriate shoes and bring your water.
“The benefits of staying active through exercise, especially walking/running outside, are unending in my mind. I love being outside in nature while burning calories, improving balance, building heart function and releasing built-up stress. It just can’t get any better than that!”
Dr. Hilton McDonald, Mercy Clinic Ear, Nose, Throat and Allergy
