Barton County Sheriff's Office arrests Mississippi man for DWI as a prior offender

On 12-06-2017 at approximately 6:30 p.m. a deputy with the Barton County Sheriff's Offfice was on routine patrol driving southbound on I-49.

The deputy observed a vehicle that failed to drive within its lane of traffic and being very erratic in the speeds it was being driven.

The deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle when he pulled into the Travel Plaza. The deputy identified the driver as Antyon Gray, age 54, of Jackson, Mississippi.

The deputy felt the subject to be impaired. The deputy conducted a driving while intoxicated investigation and at the conclusion of his investigation Gray was arrested and transported to the Barton County Jail. Gray was placed on a twenty four hour hold for investigation and on 12-07-2017 a warrant was issued for his arrest from the Barton County Prosecutor Steven Kaderly for the charge of Driving while intoxicated prior offender. Gray's bond amount was set at $5,000 cash or surety.
