Joplin man arrested for sexual misconduct after taking things into his own hands

Last night at 10:22 pm a female called to report that she was at 4th and Main and a male ran into the intersection masturbating, and yelling for someone to call the police.

An officer arrived and saw the male standing on the corner of the intersection, still masturbating. The officer told the 53-year-old Joplin male to "stop," and the suspect charged at him before complying and being arrested for sexual misconduct.
