Carl Junction Schools back in session Monday after rash of illnesses

(From the Carl Junction School District)

We look forward to seeing your children back at school on Monday, March 12. The Jasper County Health Department has been following up with our students who were ill on Wednesday. They still do not know the actual cause of the outbreak but they are reporting that children who were ill experienced the gastro-intestinal symptoms for about 12 to 24 hours and they are now bouncing back to normal.

Our custodial staff has done a great job over the last two and a-half days in disinfecting our buildings and buses as recommended by the Health Department.

As always, please be sure that your children are symptom free for 24 hours before sending them to school to avoid the spread of illness.

Thank you so much for your patience as we took these proactive steps to ensure the health and safety of our students.

We will make up these days on May 24 and May 25.
