On March 8th 2018 the Barton County Sheriff's Office received a call of a vehicle fire at Washburn Farm & Home.
The vehicle owner advised that they had just arrived back to work from lunch and the vehicle had been parked for about 30 minutes whenever somebody said his vehicle was on fire.
The Lamar Fire Department responded and put the fire out. The cause of the fire at this time is unknown, and believed to be mechanical.
