Jasper Police traffic stop results in felony warrant and marijuana arrests

Felony Probation & Parole Warrant/Driving While Revoked/Possession of Marijuana Arrest


On Friday, March 2nd, 2018 at 1206 hours, a Jasper officer initiated a traffic stop near Thorn Rd. and I-49, Jasper, Missouri, on a gold passenger vehicle in reference to an investigative stop.

Contact was made with the driver, Amber Wagstaff and the front passenger, Lawrence Wagstaff. Both reside in Jericho Springs.

Through a computer check, it was determined Amber had a revoked Missouri driver’s license and Lawrence had an active felony warrant out of Barton County SO for probation/parole violation.

A search of the vehicle was conducted. A rolled marijuana cigarette was found in a cogarette pack in Amber’s purse, which was on the center console.

Lawrence admitted the marijuana cigarette was his.

Lawrence was transported to the Barton County SO.

Note: All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
