Justin Dickson, Ben Carrier, Walter Coleman now Jasper County Sheriff's Office road deputies

(From the Jasper County Sheriff's Office)

Jasper County deputies Justin Dickson, Ben Carrier and Walter Coleman are three of our new "Community Heroes" to move from Detention Deputy to Road Deputy.

Deputy Dickson started his career with us working in the detention center, as most of our Road Deputies have. He was one of our Police Academy Scholarship recipients. We paid for his academy and his hourly wages while he attended the academy.

Deputy Carrier put his time in working at the jail for two years before deciding to test for a Road Deputy position. He is in the training phase right now and is out and about making a difference in your community with his fellow officers.

On Deputy Coleman's first day out on the road he saved a turtle's life. Hero already!

We are looking for future community heroes. If you want to be the one that helps us make your community safe, apply today. We have openings in the detention center and on the road.
