A Carthage teen was airlifted to Cox South Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries following a near drowning 3:25 p.m. Saturday near Crabtree Cove Campground on Stockton Lake in Cedar County.
According to the Highway Patrol report, Furious E. Laney, 17, Carthage, jumped off a bluff and upon impact with the water he became unconscious and submerged.
