Lane closings, delays expected on KC Southern bridge north of 32nd in Joplin

Traffic alert: Lane Closings, Traffic Delays on Range Line Road/KCS RR Bridge in Joplin Sept. 21-25

Where: Range Line Road (Loop 49) bridge over Kansas City Southern Railroad north of 32nd Street (Route FF) in Joplin

When: 8 p.m.-6 a.m., Monday-Friday, Sept. 21-25

Why: Contractor crews will be taking rock and soil samples in advance of a project to replace the Range Line Road bridge over the Kansas City Southern Railroad.








This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

Traffic Impacts:

One lane of the Range Line Road (Loop 49) bridge will be CLOSED at night where crews are set up working.

All lanes of Range Line Road will be OPEN during daytime hours

Drivers urged to find alternate routes, no signed detours are planned

(Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule)
