Barton County deputies, Ozark Drug Enforcement seize meth, fentanyl, arrest Golden City residents

On July 18th, 2021 at approximately 9:30A.M. the Barton County Sheriff’s Office along with the Ozark Drug Enforcement Team served a search warrant at the residence of 1155 SE. 75th RD Golden City, Mo.

A Deputy had taken a report in regards to an attempted theft of a catalytic converter on 07/15/2021. At that time the suspect was not successful in completing the theft an was scared off. Deputies were able to positively identify the suspect who resides in Golden City, Mo., on the victim's surveillance camera.









During the investigation the Deputy also received information that Goss was also in possession of illegal narcotics in the residence where he was residing. With the information the Deputy received he was able to obtain a search warrant for the residence mentioned above.
 
Upon searching the residence, tools were seized that are believed to be used in the crime of stealing catalytic converters. Also located in the residence was suspected illegal narcotics. 

Deputies seized what is believed to be Fentanyl as well as suspected Methamphetamine and Marijuana. These items were seized and will be sent to the Missouri Highway Patrol Crime Lab for testing. Other items in the residence seized were believed to be stolen items from reports Deputies had taken in the area as well.

Two suspects were arrested at the residence. Roy Donald Goss Jr. (37) of Golden City, Mo. and Randie Michelle Hawkins (37) of Golden City, Mo. The following charges were sent to the Prosecuting Attorney:

1.Possession of Controlled Substance Except 35Grams or Less of Marijuana/ Synthetic Cannabinoid (X2) Felony D
$25,000 cash or surety

Randie M. Hawkins
1. Possession of Controlled Substance Except 35Grams or Less of Marijuana/ Synthetic Cannabinoid (X2) Felony D
$10,000 cash or surety
