Seneca woman killed, second woman flown to KU Medical Center following crash on 43

A Seneca woman was killed and two other people injured in a two-vehicle collision 4:40 p.m. Monday on MO 43 at Route BB, four miles north of Seneca.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Stephine A. Langland, 35, Seneca, pulled into the path of a 2021 Kenworth utility truck driven by Jason E. Bonnow, 39, Wentworth.









A passenger in the Langland vehicle, Crystal N. Ward, 32, Seneca, was pronounced dead at 11:31 p.m. by Dr. Sweaney at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

Langland was airlifted to KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas, with serious injuries. A second passenger, a 14-year-old girl, was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West.
