Jasper Police arrest Nevada man, Lamar woman on meth, marijuana charges

On Sunday, July 4th, 2021 at around 2 pm, a Jasper Police Department officer made contact with two subjects at Pete’s Convenience Store in reference to suspicious activity.
 
Upon contact with Harry Middleton (Nevada) and Kelsey Pennell (Lamar), it was learned they were both on probation/parole for burglary/drug offenses.






 
A search of the vehicle they were in was conducted. Baggies with suspected methamphetamine was found, as well as meth related drug paraphernalia such as syringes, glass pipes and angled cut straws were found. Marijuana was also located in the vehicle.
 
Middleton was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of meth related drug paraphernalia.

Pennell was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of meth related drug paraphernalia.

Please remember… Meth and fireworks do not mix.

Note: Both are presumed innocent until found guilty in the court of law.
