Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 6:06 p.m. Tuesday on MO 174 at I-44, three miles east of Mount Vernon.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a vehicle (information not provided in report) failed to yield to a 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Brittney D. Masters, 26, Greenfield.
Masters and a passenger in her vehicle, Shayne A. Robertson, 33, Carthage, were treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
