Four Carthage residents injured in collision

Four Carthage residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident 8:25 p.m. Friday at the Fir Road overpass on I-49.
 
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2007 Mercury Milan driven by Cayden B. Garvin, 20, Carthage, crossed the center of the roadway and struck a 2012 Jeep Wrangler driven by Dion W. Ward, 24, Carthage. 








The Ward vehicle overturned over a concrete barrier and onto the interstate.

Garvin was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.

A passenger in Ward's vehicle, a four-year-old boy was treated for moderate and injuries and Ward and another passenger, Erin M. Harris, 20, Carthage, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy.
