Granby residents arrested on felony meth charges

(From the Granby Police Department)

On June 29th at 11:45 am, a Granby officer observed a suspicious vehicle leaving 1107 S Main St.

The officer attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle and a pursuit ensued northbound on Main St, then west on Cedar St, through the April Homes trailer park, and back onto Cedar where the vehicle abruptly stopped.

The driver of the vehicle identified as Jacob Ralston fled on foot north to Neosho St.

Newton County Deputy Sheriffs arrived a short time later and helped locate Ralston. Ralston had an active warrant out for his arrest, and methamphetamine was located in the vehicle.

Ralston has been charged with resisting arrest, felony possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Donovan Palmquist was also an occupant in the vehicle and has been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.
