Four Neosho, Bella Vista residents injured in collision on I-49

 Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 4:25 p.m. Thursday on I-49, three miles south of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Mazda 6 driven by Javier A. Roblero Quiqivix, 18, Neosho, was attempting to merge onto I49 and struck the side of a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Paul E. Thompson, 78, Bella Vista, Arkansas.

Both vehicles overturned onto the median.







Quiqivix and a passenger in his vehicle, Talisa J. Hunt Serrano, 18, Neosho, were treated for minor and moderate injuries, respectively, at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

Thompson was treated for serious injuries and a passenger in his vehicle, Margot G. Thompson, 76, Bella Vista for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
