Study abroad fair planned at Missouri Southern

(From Southern News Service)

Missouri Southern State University’s annual Study Abroad Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17 on the second floor of Billingsly Student Center.

The seven group trips planned for May 2022 are: Exploring Victorian England; The Art of the Czech Republic; Anatomical Italy: Exploring Roots of Medicine; High-Tech and Finance in London; European Identity Along the Way (Spain); Roots of Science: Art and Anatomy in Italy; and Summer in Sweden.

“Many of our students who study abroad say it’s the best thing they did in college, and it can open so many doors for them with potential employers,” said Chad Stebbins, director of Missouri Southern’s Institute of International Studies. “So many companies are now doing business overseas, and they are always looking for college graduates who have the cultural and problem-solving skills to help them in the global marketplace.”

Faculty leading the trips will be on hand at the fair to answer questions and provide applications. There will also be information about semester-long opportunities, including the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP), the Missouri London Program, and the National Student Exchange (NSE).
