Seneca, Quapaw residents injured in four-vehicle chain reaction accident on 43

Two people were injured in a four-vehicle accident 5:27 p.m. Monday on MO 43, just south of the Joplin city limits.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2016 Ford Escape driven by Vanessa S. Wilson, 22, Quapaw, Oklahoma, struck the rear of a 2011 Mazda 3 driven by Cherrie M. Haerr, 58, Joplin, which was stopped in traffic, causing the Haerr vehicle to hit a 2009 Chevrolet HHR driven by Robert D. Wallace, 69, Seneca, which then struck a 2018 Ford Escape driven by Kris K. Mills, 36, Neosho.

Wilson and a passenger in the Wallace vehicle, Reba D. Wallace, 69, Seneca, were treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
