Neosho school bus driver performs Heimlich maneuver, saves first grader's life

(From the Neosho School District)

It was business as usual on Mr. Rodney Edwards' bus route this morning when he heard a cry for help from fifth grader Olivia Wooster.

Mr. Edwards pulled the bus over to find her and 7th grader Kayden Gloot trying to help this little wildcat who was choking.

After performing the Heimlich maneuver, a quarter dislodged from first grader Ian Wooster's throat.

We are so grateful and proud of Olivia, Kayden, and Mr. Edwards for jumping into action! Thank you for all you do every day but especially for going the extra mile in a big way today!
