Missing Sarcoxie boy found unharmed

K9 Handler Deras and K9 Skye

Tonight we received a call for a missing 5-year-old boy. An initial search was performed, the search was stopped to allow K9 Skye to track the child.

 
With a successful track by Handler Deras and K9 Skye, the boy was located not far from his home, unharmed.

 
Thank you to Sarcoxie City Fire Department for rallying their crew to help with a canvass search.

 
Sarcoxie Rural Fire Protection District for bringing out their thermal cameras to locate body heat in our wooded areas.

 
Jasper County Sheriff’s Office for sending the calvary to help us out.

 
A big "good girl" to K9 Skye for locating the kiddo, and the guy at the end of the leash K9 Deras.
Jasper Police Department for reaching out to see if we needed additional boots on the ground.
