(From the Galena Police Department)On Friday, August 26th, Officers with the Galena Police Department was notified a stolen trailer with lumber and a four wheeler out of Jasper County was in Galena. Officers began coordinating with Jasper County Sheriff’s Office authorities and the victim.
Officer located the trailer and four wheeler at 509 West 16th Street. As additional Officers were responding, the truck that was pulling the trailer fled the residence.
Around 4:30 P.M., a Galena Police Officer observed the truck and trailer back, but the four wheeler and lumber was gone. Officers responded and and secured the residence while investigators secured a search warrant for the property.
During the search of the property, 41-year-old Mark Donica of Webb City, Missouri, was taken into custody on an outstanding arrest warrant out of Galena Municipal court.
Also recovered was the stolen trailer and a cargo basket off the back of the four wheeler.
This is an ongoing investigation.
