(From the Alliance of SWMO)
The Alliance of SWMO will present a check for $1,800 to Joplin’s Youth Basketball Association on Tuesday, December 1.
The presentation will take place during half time at the Joplin Girls Basketball Team’s home game at Joplin High School. The check presentation should be at roughly around 5: p.m.
“To be able to present this check to the association is such an honor. These kids are our area’s future high school athletes. It is important that they have the tools and equipment to learn their sport while they are young” said Kevin Theilen, presenter of the check and The Alliance’s Safe Kids/Safe Teens Coordinator.
The Alliance helped to purchase $1,800 worth of equipment and other various needs for the basketball team. This was made possible through The Alliance’s Full Potential program, which offers assistance with registration fees and equipment for most youth sports. The program strives to give every child who wishes to participate in youth sports the opportunity.
“We are very excited to have partnered with The Alliance in helping to keep our children active” said director, Greg Goad. The Joplin Youth Basketball Association exists to help keep children active and healthy.
The Alliance is dedicated in making the four-states a safer, healthier community. The Alliance is happy to sponsor the 2015-2016 Youth Basketball Association and its team.
