Missouri State Treasurer Clint Zweifel (ZWY-ful) today announced the winners of the MOST 529 College Savings Month Poster Contest.
The contest was held in the month of September for students in kindergarten through fifth grade who were asked to draw a picture of what they want to be when they grow up. Dozens of Missouri students submitted posters depicting a wide variety of dream jobs.
The two Grand Prize winners, each receiving a $1,500 contribution to a MOST 529 account areOliver Perry, a Chillicothe, Mo. second grader who would like to be a player for the Kansas City Royals, and Madison Carson, a Carl Junction, Mo. fourth grader who would like to be a teacher.
“Each year I am inspired by the amazing creativity and big dreams of the children in this state,” Treasurer Zweifel said. “We saw a wide variety of career choices from zoo keepers and bakers to President of the United States. This contest is a great chance to encourage our kids to set lofty goals while helping them learn what they need to get there.”
