Carthage man injured in accident on Old 66

A Carthage man was injured in a collision with a trailer that was stopped in the roadway 6:05 p.m. Wednesday on Old 66 Boulevard two miles west of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Ford F350  was pulling a trailer and was stopped in the roadway as its driver was checking on a problem. Anthony L. Spain, 55, driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am, was unable to see the trailer and struck it in the rear.

Spain was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
