As part of the continued efforts in keeping the patrons informed, the East Newton R-VI Schools administration will provide monthly information concerning Board of Education meetings.
A recap of the June, 2016 regular meetings is as follows:
Public Comments: None
The Board approved the Consent Agenda, including the previous month Board minute, monthly bills, set lunch and breakfast prices for 2016-2017, let bids for tires, distribute Policy ADF and Procedure ADF-AP1, transfer funds from Fund 1 to 2 or 4.

Reports:
Financial Report, Summer School Enrollment
Enrollment & Attendance for the end of March. Enrollment for Summer school was as follows: Granby – 305. Triway – 187, and High School 85. ADA for summer school was 502.
Under Old Business, 2nd Reading of MSBA policies GCBDA and GDBDA. Propane bids accepted for Centergas. Bank depository was approved for CBT. The RFP for the small/large animal lab not approved due to no one submitting a proposal. Work will be done by local patrons.
In respect to New Business, the Board approved Nationwide for student insurance. The Board then approved 2016-2017 budget. The Board approved the extracurricular stipends associated with the 2016-2017 budget and raised sub teacher pay to $85 for a full day. The Board approved transferring the East Newton United funds from the schools account to East Newton United account in the local bank. The Board a Telecommunication Audit agreement between the district and SpyGlass. The Board approved the final amendment to the 2015-2016 budget. The Board approved the meeting dates for the 2016-2017 school year, with approval of the July bills, and the elimination of a July meeting. In final Board action, the Board had discussions regarding Athletic Booster Club.
The Board then went into Executive Session pursuant to RSMo. 610.021: Paragraph 3 Employees
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 18 at 5:30 p.m. at Central Office.
