A Diamond teen was injured in a one-vehicle accident 10:45 p.m. Wednesday on Route J, two miles west of Wentworth.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2000 Volkswagen Beetle driven by Isaac Z. McLaughlin, 16, Diamond, swerved to avoid a deer, began skidding, traveled off the road and overturned.
McLaughlin was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
