Deputy in one-vehicle accident while responding to disturbance

A McDonald County deputy and a passenger were injured in a one-vehicle accident 11:12 p.m. Friday at Highway 59 and Highway 90 in Noel.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria, driven by Jeremy W Walker, 39, Pineville, was responding to a disturbance with lights and siren activated when it slid off the roadway and struck an embankment.

Walker was treated for minor injuries and the passenger, Sonya N. Dawson, 41, Anderson, for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
