An Olathe, Kansas woman drowned in Elk River at the dam at the west end of Noel 11 p.m. Friday.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a swimmer, Candi M. Srivsary, 25, was pinned to the base of the dam and drowned.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by McDonald County Deputy Coroner Tracy Dowd at 2:45 a.m. today.
The drowning is the sixth this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
