The Joplin Municipal Court will be closed Monday, August 22, 2016 through August 26, 2016. All operations of the court will be closed, including all courtroom proceedings. The only exception will be the In Custody Docket, which will take place at 10 a.m. on August 24.
The Prosecuting Attorney’s office will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday during this week. It is located just west of Municipal Court entrance.
The closing of the court office and the cancellation of court dockets is due to the recent restoration of the court’s case management system which had been inoperable for several weeks. With this restoration, court staff has to enter a large amount of information into the restored system. Due to the volume of work this entails, normal business activities have been suspended for the week of August 22, 2016.
If you were scheduled for court during the week of August 22 through August 26, please note the change in court dates below. If you have an “Order to Pay” it has been extended for one week.
No warrants will be issued during this time without the expressed permission from a Judge.
