On Wednesday, March 1st, 2017, the Barton County Sheriff’s Office responded to Mindenmines on an unrelated disturbance call.
When concluding that unrelated call, deputies made contact with a 40 year of age white male at a home located at 910 Main Street. During the investigation it was discovered the subject had a baggy of a white powdery crystal substance (The substance was believed to be the illegal drug methamphetamine) in a front pants pocket. The subject was arrested and transported back to the Sheriff’s Office.
A search warrant was applied for and granted for the residence and during the search illegal items were located. The subject was later released from the Sheriff’s office.
The substance will be sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crime lab for analysis of the substance located, once results return reports will be sent to the prosecuting attorney, Steven Kaderly for consideration in filing of formal criminal charges.
