The Jasper County SWAT team was busy Monday night!
The Jasper County SWAT team assisted the Ozark Drug Enforcement Team with the execution of two search warrants on Monday night. One was in Carthage, on Fulton Street, and the other was in New Addition, on Mangrove Street. Both operations were successful.
The operation in New Addition turned into a situation with suspects refusing to exit the residence.
Numerous commands were given over the loudspeaker to come out with their hands up. Several gas munitions were deployed into the residence which forced two suspects out.
One potentially armed suspect remained in the residence still refusing to comply with commands. The last remaining suspect was eventually apprehended by the team without incident. A total of ten people were removed from the trailer house.
The operation ended with a peaceful outcome.
