Tickets are now on sale for Evening of Jazz hosted by the Crowder College Foundation. The event takes place Tuesday, April 26th at the Neosho Civic and begins with a wine, craft beer, and hors d’oeuvres mixer at 6 pm followed by a live jazz performance by Crowder Jazz Orchestra at 7 pm.

In conjunction with Evening of Jazz, chances for a fun-filled Branson adventure package valued at more than $1,680 may be purchased for $5 each or $20 for five chances. The package includes two consecutive nights in a lakefront king ambassador suite at Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa & Convention Center and breakfast for two on either morning at Chateau Grill; four tickets to Silver Dollar City; four tickets to Showboat Branson Belle; four tickets to Dixie Stampede; $140 gift card to The Tracks Family Fun Parks & Branson Ferris Wheel; and four ducky passes to Ride the Ducks. This is the third consecutive year that Herschend Family Entertainment has organized a Branson package at no cost. One hundred percent of all raffle ticket sales benefit the Foundation. Raffle tickets can also be purchased electronically at squareup.com/store/crowder-college-foundation-2. The drawing takes place during Evening of Jazz, but the winner does not need to be present.

Crowder Jazz Orchestra (CJO), formed in 2005, grew out of a love for traditional big-band jazz music and the need for a community-based ensemble in the Crowder College service region. Under the direction of Todd Hastings and featuring Rebecca Ensor on vocals, the 18-piece band presents a repertoire ranging from classic jazz standards to arrangements by today’s leading big band composers and arrangers. CJO connects with audiences of all musical tastes and often presents public concerts in tandem with educational outreach events.

Comprised of community and professional musicians, the band includes members who collectively have played with musical greats including Aretha Franklin, Ben Vereen, Doc Severinsen, Joe Williams, Henry Mancini, Wayne Newton, the Woody Herman Orchestra, Bob Mintzer, and others.

Evening of Jazz sponsors include Certified Express, Inc., Adams Cattle Co., Community Bank & Trust, The Cornerstone Bank, Paragon Architecture, and The Insurancenter. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available.
