On Wednesday, at about 12:33 pm, a Jasper officer stopped a black Ford Fusion near a known drug house in the 300 block of North Main St.
Upon stop all three subjects exited the vehicle. Contact was made and upon search, a marijuana pipe was located in the driver's door pocket. In the glove box a glass pipe with crystal substance inside was located.
Under the drivers side floor mat a bag with white residue was located. Driver Kolby Winn, 22 from Carthage, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while revoked and obstruction, due to giving a false name to officers.
Back seat passenger Brandon Woods, 27 from Carthage, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent after 10 plus grams of suspected meth was found on his person.
Front seat passenger, Mason McClure, released with no charges. McClure continues to be a danger to our city, as he was recently arrested for arson, also this past weekend he was arrested for possession of a controlled substance by Carl Junction PD.
McClure is on bond for the arson as well as possession of a controlled substance and probation revocation. He has hearings coming up but while he is out, he’ll continue to be a danger.
Please feel free to contact his probation officer at 417-629-3200, just ask for Mason McClure’s officer and express your concerns. He is bringing known drug dealers into Jasper and certainly not abiding by his conditions of probation/parole or his conditions of release while on bond. He is out on bond with Bowman Bail Bonds.http://www.bowmanbailbonds.com/
Please know Jasper PD has been in contact with officials and trying to get a certain suspect off the streets. Things will only get worse if this person continues to be on the streets and involved in methamphetamine and/or those involved in it.
Good work by all involved... Jasper PD, Jasper County Sheriff’s Office and ODET Drug Task Force.
