Kenny Ray Horton concert to raise money for Neosho Bright Futures, McDonald County 4 Kids

(From Crowder College)

Neosho, MO – Gold Record awarded singer/songwriter Kenny Ray Horton will offer a family show “Getting Back Home” performance Saturday, October 27, 2018, 7-8:30pm, at the Elsie Plaster Community Center on the Crowder College campus in Neosho, MO.

The concert proceeds will be donated to Neosho Bright Futures and McDonald County 4 Kids programs.

Horton is originally from Rocky Comfort, but now resides near Washington D.C. and is lead singer for the United States Navy Band “Country Current” in Washington, D.C. He wanted to return home to enjoy music with family and friends while benefitting two great causes.

“I don’t get home very often and I am always looking for folks to play for. To get the community to come out and enjoy a little music while we support a couple of great causes, well, that’s just amazing to be a part of.”

Horton has written songs for Kenny Rogers, Donnie Osmond and John Schneider. You can find his song on a new Cracker Barrel Christmas release and as a single to be released in December from John Schneider. He continues to write and record while on active duty in the Navy. He will retire in 2020 and plans to move back to Rocky Comfort, MO and tour the country with his music.
