Mail Thieves
We have experienced several cases of a thief in the night stealing mail from mailboxes.
We are following leads from witnesses but wanted everyone to be aware and to provide some tips to avoid being a victim:
-don't leave your mail in your mailbox overnight
-check your mail as soon as possible after it arrives
-if out of town, make arrangements with the Post Office or someone you trust to get your mail for you
-don't place bills in your mailbox to be picked up by the mail carrier if you can instead get it to a post office drop off box
-As always, watch for and report suspicous vehicles and people to our department
