This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited lightning risk.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms are expected overnight across western
Missouri and extreme southeastern Kansas, mainly along and west of
the I-49 corridor. Cloud to ground lightning and brief heavy
rainfall will be the primary potential hazards.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Scattered storms will develop across the area Tuesday morning and
afternoon ahead of an approaching cold front. A few of the
stronger storms may be capable of producing hail to the size of
quarters.

The cold front will move into southeastern Kansas and western
Missouri Tuesday evening and then move across the eastern Ozarks
during the overnight hours. A line of storms is expected to
develop along the front. The main potential severe weather risk
will be damaging winds, especially along and west of the Highway
65 corridor.

Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible, especially across
western Missouri and extreme southeastern Kansas. There will be
the risk for localized flooding Tuesday and Tuesday night where
multiple storms track over the same locations.
