Four people were injured in a one-vehicle accident 7:26 p.m. Thursday on I-44, two miles west of Sarcoxie.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2019 Nissan Maxima driven by Darla T. Lacy, 30, St. Louis, swerved to miss a coyote, struck the coyote, went off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
Lacy and three passengers, Vernon L. Warlick, 49, Domond D. Hollis, 10, and Skye L. Hollis, 5, all of St. Louis, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
