Periods of sleet, snow, freezing rain expected overnight for Joplin, southwest Missouri

Wintry Weather Tonight into Sunday Morning...

.Precipitation builds in from the southwest late tonight and will
begin as a snow/sleet mix. As a low level jet builds in from the
southwest a transition to light freezing rain will take place
across the Ozark region into early Sunday morning. As
temperatures warm by late Sunday morning, light freezing rain
will transition to rain.
